How a name gets bound to a coin, and what that binding is worth.
What it does
IdentiFi registers a .sol name and binds it to a pump.fun coin in a
single Solana transaction. pump.fun creates the coin, its supply and its bonding
curve. IdentiFi makes the name permanent. The name is not registered to you. It
goes to an address derived from the ticker, which the program controls and which
has no way to hand it on. Look up yourcoin.sol in any wallet and it
resolves to the mint.
The transaction
Two instructions, submitted together.
The last instruction creates nothing. It checks. If the name was taken, the first instruction fails and no coin exists. If the name landed anywhere but the coin's own address, the last one fails and the whole transaction rolls back. There is no state where a coin wears a name it does not own.
A side effect worth stating plainly: a ticker whose .sol is already
registered cannot be launched here at all. Tickers are unique by construction, not
by a rule somebody enforces.
What is locked
| The name | Held by PDA("coin", ticker). The program has no instruction that transfers a domain, so there is nothing to call. Not by you, not by us. |
|---|---|
| The coin | Created by pump.fun, on their bonding curve, with their supply and fee rules. |
| The pairing | The curve address is derived from the mint, so a name cannot be bound to a coin with no curve, or to someone else's curve. |
The one thing not frozen is whatever the uri points at. You host that
file, so you can change its contents. If that matters for your coin, use storage
that cannot be edited.
Pricing
Solana Name Service prices a name by length. Every dollar goes to the SNS vault. IdentiFi takes nothing.
| 1 character | $750 |
|---|---|
| 2 characters | $700 |
| 3 characters | $640 |
| 4 characters | $160 |
| 5 or more | $20 |
Paid once, in USDC, by the launcher. Plus Solana rent and fees, a fraction of a cent. These figures were measured against the live registrar on a mainnet fork, not copied from a docs page.

Metadata
pump.fun writes the token metadata when it creates the coin, so wallets and charts show a name rather than an unknown token. IdentiFi does not touch it.
Limits
| Ticker | 1 to 32 characters, a-z, 0-9 and hyphen, not starting or ending with one |
|---|---|
| Name | 1 to 32 characters |
| Symbol | 1 to 10 characters |
| URI | up to 200 characters |
| Supply | set by pump.fun |
Status
The program is live on Solana mainnet. Coins launch on pump.fun's bonding curve, so they trade from the first block and graduate the way any pump.fun coin does.
